1st Free Solitaire is a free compilation of solitaire games. Solitaire is a game that you can either totally love or totally despise. I know people who spend hours on end playing the same game over and over. This compilation should be fun for them, since it includes 7 different games of solitaire, each one with different rules.

The application lists the seven solitaire games when you start playing and grades them by difficulty. For each of the games, you get a basic explanation of the game's rules and objective.

Graphically the game looks a lot like the one included in Windows, with the only exception of the background, which looks smoother. There are different sets of cards to select and you can also choose from several card backs, but the cards' front remains the same. You can change their size, though. As regards gameplay customization, you can't really change how the games behave. You can enable or disable certain messages from the application, like the "You are Stuck" message or the "Illegal move" one.

I personally suck at solitaire and I absolutely love that the application shows you hints when you are playing. It is a great way of learning the game and it is a great touch as well.
